eASTER eGG hUNT - PLUS!

SOMETHING NEW ADDED

This year we are adding something new to our Community Easter Egg Hunt!
We will join other congregations in an Easter Luminarium. This is how it has been described:
"We are hopeful that shining still, small lights in front of our
churches may bring out the love of Jesus in our world. We
think we all could benefit from the reminder that God is still
here, still among us, still carrying us through life."

The children at the Easter Egg Hunt will be invited inside the church to decorate a white paper bag for Easter. The congregation (or any at the Easter Egg Hunt if you so wish) will donate a canned good. These will be used to hold the bags in place.

A battery powered tea light will be placed in the bag and will burn throughout the night of Holy Saturday until Easter morning, anticipating the light of Easter breaking through the darkness of Jesus' crucifixion and death. The bags will be placed at the front of the church.

After the Luminarium, the canned goods will be donated to the Survival Center as a further act of Easter love.
