For me at least, it was an "Aha" moment when I realized that even Jesus had "aha" moments. This is a Saviour who grows. How human is that? How humble is that? "But [the desperate mother] answered [Jesus], 'Sir, even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.'" And Jesus saw her differently. (Mark 7:24-30)

what is that picture that calls jesus a 'she' and is that supposed to be a syrophoenician woman? doesn't look very greek to me. Please don't use images that spread falsities, jesus was not a woman and greeks aren't and weren't black.

The "she" refers to the Syrophoenician woman. She insisted that other lives matter. Her artistic depiction is to call the "otherness" to mind. It is the artist's liberty to do so. And in that sense it is completely faithful to the text. Thank you for your comment and engagement.

Actually, it was a matter of God's timing. Jesus was sent first to the Jews. That is why he answered her the way he did. When they rejected Jesus, then the message was sent to the Gentiles through Paul. Jesus had to follow the timing of the Father. It wasn't a matter of him just rejecting women. And in the end, he said, Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith! Be it done to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that hour. Matthew 15:28 When you study to understand, you have to understand through the mindset of the people at that time in history, not though the eyeglasses of people living in 2020. History is understood in context of the times. All history.

this is blasphemy, Our Lord NEVER had an 'aha moment', He is the Word Incarnate. the Truth is not taught the truth by us! the Lord was testing her for the benefit of the 'audience'.
